City Lights - Black Marble
NASA and NOAA jointly manage the Suomi satellite, which takes high resolution images. The first video is about 2 minutes long and gives an explanation of what the satellite images show.

I don't know how many years I've enjoyed the earth lights at night. These new ones just make it fresh all over again. Seeing the brightest areas then checking where the earth turns dark tells so many stories.
